I teach private guitar and banjo lessons in Paris and am also available for skype lessons.
My focus is on fingerstyle guitar and clawhammer banjo styles, and can help expand the expressive range of intermediate level players. For the guitar, I would focus on thumb-work, chord inversions, and different picking styles ranging from country blues, ragtime, and gospel to African two-finger picking, rumba, Malian blues, and more.
For the banjo I would break down the mechanics of clawhammer (or ‘frailing’), and work progressively with the student on easy to intermediate to advanced versions of basic, well-known old time songs.
I can also teach beginner level students of all ages.
